- @edolstra: reminds me of a conversation about OpenTelemetry standard logging.
- @roberth: could be useful in NixOps4 too
- We’d like Nix to emit native OpenTelemetry JSON
- Needs to be reviewed for usefulness in the other loggers, such as the progress bar
- Would be sufficient to lower their level if it adds too much noise
- @edolstra: We might have added some similar activities since this was opened
- Needs to be reviewed that the spans cover the right processes

- @ericson2314: Now that we have a more broken-up build, it is unclear to me if we need a tarball, or would just downloading the store path as is (via NAR etc.) work fine. It doesn’t matter — @fricklerhandwerk can do whatever is easiest — but just including the thought here for posterity.
