# Changelog for the past three Weeks

[Clan](https://clan.lol/) is a toolkit that makes it easier to manage networks of VPN-connected NixOS machines.  
The ultimate goal is to lower the barrier to self-host services massively to allow anyone to achieve this without special hardware. As of now using clan still requires NixOS knowledge but already  
nicely combines a bunch of our open-source project that you may know (nixos-anywhere, sops-nix, nixos-generators, disko, …) in a uniform CLI.

- We now have a Mac M4 buildhost for our CI
- We are migrating our build / hosting server to a bigger machine
  - While doing so we found bugs in Clan and Backups

- We were present at the 38C3
  - Come see us next time!

- Clan UI
  - We now have an installation workflow
  - We are starting to integrate Vars into the UI
  - Big steps towards Cross platform / MacOS support

- Add porkbun support to dyndns module
- Upstreaming Vars into NixOS

- NixOS Facter
  - Been moved to nix-community
  - Some last bugs will be squashed today [GitHub · Where software is built](https://github.com/nix-community/nixos-facter/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3Abug)
  - We should remove the beta status
  - We should start upstreaming nixos modules

- Data Mesher
  - Sent a request to move the repo under the clan org
  - Setup CI
  - Needs a NixOS module and more testing
  - Needs some docs too
