It has been a while, but I finally got some time to look into things properly and managed to achieve all I wanted thanks to all the tips and suggestions from everyone in this thread. With proper understanding of override, overrideArgs and overrideScope I can achieve the exact outcome I was after, barr some complicated derivations, such as chromium, but that is manageable in other ways. Appreciate all the help and input.
