Now it’s too late anyway, deadline is today.
Die nächste Bewerbungsphase startet am 1. Februar 2021.
In February 2023 a new round will open. The deadline for this is March 31st. A few things that are important to know:
- it is open to individuals only
- you need to be based in Germany and have a German tax number
- you have to be 18 years or older
- the idea has to have some sort of innovation: janitor work (cleaning up things, writing documentation, etc.) cannot be funded, there has to be actual software written
- the software has to be open source
- there are two workshops (beginning/end) that are mandatory to attend
Although the deadline is only in March it might already be useful to start thinking about possible ideas.
