Can't update/install Sunshine on unstable channel

On the unstable channel. Was updating the packages as I often do. It got hung up updating Sunshine, the open source AMD compatible version of Nvidia’s Moonlight. I uninstalled Sunshine to confirm that is in fact the problem. My Sunshine configuration is identical to that shown here.

I ran into the same problem, turns out an update to a required library Boost has broken a bunch of stuff. A fix for Sunshine has already been merged in PR #493384, but since I was still experiencing the issue, I applied the fix mentioned here:

Sadly, even after cleaning my nix store, I still got the same error, so I’m just going to comment it out and remember to uncomment it later.

I realized I’m an idiot and updated the wrong part of my config. It does indeed fix the error.

For the record, after a fix is merged, it usually takes a little while before hydra has rebuilt all the packages and run all the tests.

Thanks a bunch. It’s building right now and appears to be working now. I guess occasional instability is what I get for being on the unstable branch.

Unstable means that there can be breaking changes with little to no warning; stable generally disallows this unless it must be done for security reasons. Build failures, however, can occur on any branch including stable.
