fcitx doesn't work

fcitx5 doesn’t seem to work with wayland compositor(niri), even when i set env variables in niri. Looking at the log I see

fcitx5[1679]: E2026-04-30 13:41:51.474842 waylandmodule.cpp:246] Failed to open wayland connection

I have tried those solutions, doesn’t help

Weirdly when i restart fcitx from my niri, it works
