I am new to NixOS and Linux system management. Nonetheless, I have strong motivation to leave Windows behind and become a NixOS power user. I love the philosophy of NixOS, but I am struggling to manage the configuration (both system-level and user-level).
I read parts of the NixOS manual, I watch videos, I bounce things off chatGPT, and I try things out. I am frustrated that things that previously worked stop working at a later build (by $ nixos-rebuild switch). I have learned a lot, but learning has been slow. There is too much important detailed information that I have to figure out by trial and error.
My request to the community…
PLEASE POINT ME TO TUTORIAL RESOURCES FOR BEGINNERS. I would love to see descriptions and paths to typical configuration files that one should use at the system-level and user-level.
