Help finding a recent(?) Nix video

Hi All, I’m hoping you can help me track down a video.

I recently (in the last month or so) watched a video about making python packages with Nix, done in a tutorial style. The presenter showed an example of installing some scientific packages that depended on numpy/scipy with conda, and showed that depending on the order you installed, you ended up with a different set of resolved dependencies.

I’m trying to find this video to show to a colleague, but can’t for the life of me find it again. Has anyone else seen this video and can link it to me?

Have you checked https://weekly.nixos.org/?

Yes I have. I’ve also searched for it on reddit, lobsters and youtube which are the places i usually find these things, but i just can’t seem to find it again :frowning:

This post is my last-ditch effort before declaring it lost to the mists of time.

Hi,

Maybe it’s this one: Using Nix for Repeatable Python Environments at SciPy 2019

Amazing. That’s exactly it. Thank you so much!

I helped answer the questions asked at the end.
