Help getting sound working

Hello,

I have a Kabylake Card on my laptop…

I’ve never been able to get sound working on it… Normally all linux distro’s i’ve tried it uses sof-firmware…

Looked throuh this guide Sound not working updated to unstable and still no luck…

This is all the informaton i have right now… if you need more let me know

[joe@nixos:~]$ lspci -k |grep snd
Kernel modules: snd_hda_intel, snd_soc_avs, snd_sof_pci_intel_cnl

Sound not working

Current configuration for sound:

  sound.enable = true;
  nixpkgs.config.pulseaudio = true;
  hardware.pulseaudio.enable = true;
  nixpkgs.config.allowUnfree = true;
  hardware.enableAllFirmware  = true;

as in the link you posted might be helpful, also the output of commands regarding info about your sound specifics.

This recent post investigated similar issues, using info sharing.
