If you’re like me, you want as many of your devices at home to be running NixOS. That allows me to update and configure all my machines from the same repo and with the same tools (from here: [GitHub - sweenu/nixfiles: NixOS home and servers configuration · GitHub](https://github.com/sweenu/nixfiles)). My speakers though, were running HiFiBerryOS until now. I used Claude to help me port HiFiBerryOS to NixOS: [GitHub - sweenu/hifiberry-nixos: Run HiFiBerryOS on NixOS: the HiFiBerry audio stack, players and web UI, declaratively configured · GitHub](https://github.com/sweenu/hifiberry-nixos)

Besides having all the advantage of NixOS, like having a declarative config, it also has the advantage of needing less manual steps to get a working SD card for my RPIs than with the official hifiberry-os project.

It’s been working well for me so far! Hopefully it can be of use to others too.
