How do you query nix tools that are in the pkgs namespace, but are not actually packages?

Howdy,

Is there a good way to browse the nix tools that are available in the pkgs namespace (e.g. appImageTools)? I’m aware a lot (all?) of them can be found in the documentation, but I am hoping for something a bit more searchable like noogle is for lib/builtins.

Also is there a reason these tools don’t just appear in the pkgs search?
