How-To Dist upgrade

Hello,

I installed nixos around Apr. 2020 (at this time, 20.03). Now, I would like to upgrade to 20.09.
So, I removed the old channel for nixos, added the new one for 20.09, did an “nixos-rebuild switch --upgrade”, rebooted my PC. But still, the system is showing 20.03 (as well in Grub, where I can select the version). As well packages are still in the version of 20.03 (for instance stack 2.1 instead of 2.3) Am I missing something?

Did you also check the channels of the root user?
