Phew, that’d be hilariously stupid if it weren’t so deeply irresponsible.
That’s just an elaborate way to demand never getting updates, since that path is a static, read-only copy of the flake at eval time; Unfortunately users will also be lead to think they are updating automatically.
We should probably prohibit using a store path for that option to fix the brokenness this wiki entry will have resulted in for some users. Though they will likely never notice anyway, given their updates will never work.
Imma be honest, the wikis are pretty much worthless, it’s impossible to fight the tsunami of LLM slop and dangerous half-knowledge. Stick to these sources:
