Hello all,
we have a machine that cannot be updated, SLES11. When i try to install Nix, i have to execute manually the lines in install script, but finally, i got this error:
[me@roger temp]$ ./nix-2.3.6-x86_64-linux/install
performing a single-user installation of Nix...
copying Nix to /nix/store......................................
FATAL: kernel too old
./nix-2.3.6-x86_64-linux/install: unable to register valid paths
kernel is: 3.0.101-0.31-default
I already installed Nix on a CentOS 6 with kernel 2.6.32-754.27.1.el6.x86_64.
I don’t understand the message.
We just need to install some tools like gcc, cmake on this machine.
Anybody can help?
