KDE trash widget and dophin disagree on where the trash folder is

When I click the “Trash” folder in dolphin, it brings me to /home/qube/.local/share/Trash
If I click on the path bar, it shows trash:/.
This is also the folder things end up in if I use “send to trash” from dolphin.

When I click on the KDE trash widget, it opens /run/user/1000/kio-fuse-wZDJxF/trash.
(And that folder is full of broken symlinks which do not seem related to the other Trash.)
(In case that is pertinent, the folder is opened with Gnome Files, as that is my default.)
There also appear to be no way to select a different folder from the right-click → “Trash Settings” GUI, as it only allows to select drives, and not precise folders.

The Gnome Files “Trash” does not work, but I don’t really care about that, my main concern is that two KDE things disagree.

I did not change anything about how the trash works, so I assume the bug might be present on default installs of NixOS with plasma.
(If that is the case, an upstream fix would be desirable)

Still haven’t found a solution, any help appreciated !

I might be wrong but it seems like maybe this? Dolphin opens personal folder instead of trash - #14 by skyfishgoo - Help - KDE Discuss

Certainly there’s a lot more chat about the same/related issue there since it’s a KDE specific problem.

I’ll look into it, thanks!

I don’t know why I was assuming this was a NixOS issue
