Keyboard and Mouse Delay at Login Screen

I updated Nix a few days ago on my desktop computer and since then it’s had this strange 30 second delay on the log in screen before the keyboard and mouse turn on.

Keyboard takes 20-30 seconds to initialise (lights on), the mouse comes on another 10 seconds after the keyboard. I can’t use either of them until they’re both on. Then everything works just fine.

Anyone have any idea why? I figure it’s got to be a delay on loading a driver or initialising USB? The only thing that I remember changing was adding secure boot (lanzaboote) about 3 weeks ago, but it was fine for weeks after that that I ran the upgrade and the issue happened after that.

Unfortunately I garbage collected before noticing the issue, so I can’t roll back.

NixOS 25.05
Logitech G Pro Keyboard and G502 Mouse

Apparently this was a motherboard issue (ASUS Z790 GAMING WIFI7). The Bluetooth device wasn’t initializing at all and it was causing a delay, so I’m guessing there was some initialization issue or BIOS strangeness going on. Updated the BIOS (to the same version) and tried resetting settings multiple times. All the sudden it worked after enabling the MyASUS app while trying to troubleshoot from the windows partition. Not sure why that would do it.

Nothing secure boot related that I can tell.

I’ll leave this just in case someone else has something similar happen.
