Native launcher for Androis Studio

Upon launching Android Studio, I get a small popup window in the bottom right corner.
It has the following text:

The IDE seems to be launched with a script launcher ('bin/studio.sh'). Please consider switching to a native launcher ('bin/studio') for better experience.

How do I fix it please?

There was a PR where @msfjarvis tried to solve this but there were some weird issues. Help would be appreciated!
