Newbie need help: Install NixOS iso file on Windows 10?

Hello I would like to shift from Windows 10 to NixOS as I want to dive deep into Haskell language. I have been thinking to move to Linux for a long time, now is the time. Could anyone please share a manual or video where I can learn how to go about the installation process. I am looking to download iso file to prepare bootable USB stick.

The official website does not feel very beginner-friendly, hence I am taking the help

Check out https://rufus.ie/ it’s a small tool to create USB sticks from ISO files

Ubuntu has a step-by-step guide on how to use it. Hope it helps!

Did you already find the Nixos manual? I agree that for at least me the website was very confusing because of the intermixing of the different projects (nix, nixpkgs, nixos etc).

I successfully installed Nixos by just following the instructions in the manual. I am not a Linux guru by any means although I did know what a partition is beforehand. If you haven’t yet, check it out: NixOS 23.11 manual | Nix & NixOS
