We don’t want to put our experiences up for public debate so you can play devil’s advocate about whether it was “really meant as discrimination”.

As I said, the intent is not to play devil’s advocate, but to better understand your point of view. It’s difficult for me to empathise with you if I’m only told about these incidents exist, without ever experiencing one.

Ohh, and every year we get moved to our own thread which will sooner or later be hidden, because we get dogpiled, and the whole thing gets sweeped under the rug.

Honestly, I feel like these threads push people away more than anything else so far. It’s sad that while they tend to be started with good intentions, the results seem to go the other way.

EDIT: this is just a note. I do not have a solution, I’m afraid. The topic is inherently very political, so it’s difficult.
