Thank you to everyone who came today! We had 6 people come and had a blast. This week we discussed the following topics:
- Flake-Graph - Visualize your flake inputs’ dependency tree
- Nix State of the SBOM
- Flipper One
- Hermes Agent - LLM agent with first-party Nix support
- Drowse - Nix library that makes dynamic derivations easy. Cargo2nix example included
- Reduceron - Method of computing based on graph reduction (FP), implemented on FPGS
- Garnix-ci open sourced - Following the aquihire of Garnix, they opened sourced their CI
- Chapter 3 of Category Theory for Programemrs - Monoids and Hom sets (based on the blog post)
I personally found that there were many places where I could optimize my flake inputs using @nikitawootten 's flake-graph tool which was fun to see everyone use and compare who had the most duplicate input references (me).
We also had some donuts!
If you’re interested in attending, we meet again next month at the same time and place!
