NixOS cloud images (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc)

What’s the latest on running NixOS on google cloud? The wiki just says that all of its information is out of date.

How does one go about this in 2020? Are there official images?

I don’t use Google Cloud, but it seems nixos-generators supports creating an image.

Yeah, nixos-generators looks useful. I feel like we should really have some official images for all the major cloud providers out there somewhere. Does anyone know what the best avenue would be for making that happen?

I gave the nixos-generators approach a shot, but it didn’t work: "No space left on device" for basic gce build · Issue #73 · nix-community/nixos-generators · GitHub. Are there any other ways?

I don’t know if they do this for Google Cloud, but for Amazon they upload AMIs in the “community” space.

Nice, that’s useful to have. Is there any accountability for how these AMIs are generated? Why can they be trusted?
