# Nixos-shell 2.0 can now start Linux VMs on macOS

Since I am still waiting for my Framework Motherboard replacement,  
There is some new exiting features for [nixos-shell](https://github.com/Mic92/nixos-shell) for the macOS.  
This now works on macOS:

```auto
$ nixos-shell --guest-system aarch64-linux examples/vm.nix

```
