No audio on fresh installation (but indication bars are moving)

Hey everyone,

I’ve freshly installed NixOS 21.05 on my Acer Swift 5 (w/ KDE). However, built-in sound on the laptop doesn’t seem to work, no matter what solutions I find online.

Here’s my configuration:

  boot.extraModprobeConfig = ''
    options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0
  '';

  # ...

  sound.enable = true;
  hardware.pulseaudio.enable = true;

pactl list short sinks:

$ pactl list short sinks
0       alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo      module-alsa-card.c      s16le 2ch 48000Hz       RUNNING

speaker-test and Youtube videos output no sound - however, KDE’s bars show that some sound is being played?

This is making me suspect I may be going deaf.
