Novice accelerator runs into brick wall; is NixOS at fault?

How do I configure OpenCL to work? clinfo and opencl-info display 0 platforms. Hardware is Intel i5-9400 with CoffeeLake S GT2 [UHD Graphics 630]

Did you set the OCL_ICD_VENDORS environment variable, or update hardware.opengl.extraPackages with the appropriate package?
