tl;dr it should now be fixed, at least in -unstable (I haven’t checked for 23.05)
Still experiencing the issue in latest main branch. 
Edit, it seems like that revert helped some people but on the related trackers / issues / tickets / posts there are still people with problem.s

I’ve just hit this after upgrading from ubuntu 23.04 to 23.10. On an xps 9560 like y’all. I’ve bought a drive replacement of a different kind (from the original Samsung pm61 I believe to wd 570) to no avail. Gonna load up a pendrive with an earlier ubuntu with an earlier kernel and report back.

I could use an older version of ZBM to boot into the snapshot I did prior to upgrading to ubuntu 23.10 and that works correctly (kernel 6.1)
