Apparently I already looked into this before 
you may need to override npmDeps as well. I’m not sure if this applies with the EDIT: the finalAttrs pattern though. If it does, I’d file that as a bug with nixpkgs.buildNpmPackage is not using the finalAttrs pattern (not sure if it’s even supported), so you’ll still have to override npmDeps for sure.
