Discord has not been able to open any new windows for me, both the desktop portal and the file browser, when it has been auto started through the hyprland.lua config file. Restarting discord manually completely fixes the issue for me. For now i just manually launch discord. It makes me think that the issue is with how hyprland launches software.

So this didnāt work, but also it did. So basically applications launched from exec-once including apps launched from others apps launched from exec-once like, you know, apps from the terminal (I launch the terminal to startup to make it open faster) or the application launcher (in my case Vicinae) arenāt able to detect the portals. But FOR SOME REASON applications launched after the initial boot for example launching Firefox from a shortcut; or initializing the application launcher with exec instead and saving the Hyprland config, DOES WORK FINE: Flatpaks, screen sharing, opening files, taking screenshots, EVERYTHING. The problem is that now I canāt figure out how to launch apps automatically without manually pressing a shortcut. Executing a script after the dbus-update-activation-environment doesnāt work.

Soā¦ the issue just solved itself with another update today. Iām currently running Hyprland 0.55.4, and now it just works.
