Got a approved review. The PR should not change any functionality but switches config writing to RFC0042 suggested methods, which mitigates an escaping issue, when configuring federations (see linked issue)
Using this on a custom branch since creation to have my federation setup working.

I’ve read all the surrounding issues and it looks like there’s some fear to merge PRs related to wireguard.
As I wrote on the review itself, I think this PR in particular is safe to merge and fixes a bad UX on systems that are not always online.
