## Description of changes
`systemd-networkd` supports creating and configurin⦠g IPVLAN and IPVTAP devices. This PR introduces NixOS module support for those devices in the form of adding the configuration options to `systemd.network.netdevs`.
This is a different direction than https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/48753 went.
## Things done
I tested this out with my personal NixOS configuration.

SnapRAID bugfix PR needing merge. Approved by original creator of package.
NixOS:master
β kylehendricks:snapraid-fix-split-parity2
opened 02:31AM - 23 Nov 23 UTC
## Description of changes
Fixes https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/269248
β¦
SnapRAID has a feature where you can specify "split" parity files. This is useful when you're using 16tb or bigger ext4-formatted disks for parity. ext4 doesn't support files bigger than 16tb so this "split parity file" can be used to specify two parity files on a single parity disk and SnapRAID will automatically use the subsequent file when the current cannot grow anymore (hits 16TB). You specify these split parity files by separating them with commas in the "parity" config option. This mostly already works except when it comes to the scheduled systemd sync job where it specifies ReadWritePaths. If you specify a parity with multiple files you'll get an error when the systemd job runs: `Failed to set up mount namespacing:
/run/systemd/unit-root/mnt/parity1/snapraid1.parity,/mnt/parity1/snapraid2.parity: No such file or directory` Essentially, when the parity file paths are passed into ReadWritePaths, they're always treated as a single path. This change makes sure to split the paths if they contain a comma.
The big concern for this change is if it would break users who have commas in their actual parity file paths. This won't be an issue because SnapRAID itself blindly splits on commas for parity files, so legitimate commas in a parity file path wouldn't work in SnapRAID anyway. See here: https://github.com/amadvance/snapraid/blob/978d812153736c06763192f0f1d4b34e54ad633f/cmdline/state.c#L692

β philiptaron:sideband-socket-path
opened 06:57PM - 27 Nov 23 UTC
## Description of changes
### [NVIDIA X Config Options](https://download.nvid⦠ia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/440.82/README/xconfigoptions.html#SidebandSocketPath) ###
> The NVIDIA X driver uses a UNIX domain socket to pass information to other driver components. If unable to connect to this socket, some driver features, such as G-Sync, may not work correctly. The socket will be bound to a file with a name unique to the X server instance created in the directory specified by this option. Note that on Linux, an additional abstract socket (not associated with a file) will also be created, with this pathname socket serving as a fallback if connecting to the abstract socket fails.
The default, which was in effect prior to this change, was `/var/run`.
The effect of not setting this option was that GDM X sessions (and other non-root sessions) would see this warning in the logs (on my system, `journalctl -b -t /nix/store/7ks9ca5wpdrivbslj3ddkd1hr2cfgj96-gdm-45.0.1/libexec/gdm-x-session`):
```
(WW) NVIDIA: Failed to bind sideband socket to
(WW) NVIDIA: '/var/run/nvidia-xdriver-b4f69129' Permission denied
```
I don't see any security implications of turning this on universally, since there already was an abstract socket created according to the documentation from NVIDIA quoted above.
Diagnosis comes from this [Arch Linux BBS post](https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1909115#p1909115). I adapted it for NixOS.
