Recommended ipfs settings?

Are there any recommended ipfs (now called kubo) settings?

I note that now my ipfs node says that it has decided that it is offline by default.

(It would be nice that the defaults helped the ipfs network in some way. Strength in numbers…)

If I wanted to have 30gb of hard disk for an ipfs cache and I was happy for it to peer and supply any ipfs hash that I have downloaded to others… that sounds like a reasonable use case.

have you be a good p2p person and opened up firewall ports?

both on your machine(s) and on your router (if you have access).
