Hello, new to NixOS and using Gnome as the DE. I’m curious if there is a setting I overlooked that is blocking the speed of my internet to some degree. The same speed test on my mac in the same place is 3x faster download speeds while the Nix machine has 2x the upload. Super weird. Any help is appreciated!
Can you speed test using the same hardware only?
The WiFi/ethernet of tha Mac might have different characteristics.
Perhaps try to compare between a Ubuntu and the nixos system running on the same computer.
I managed to resolve this, it seems it was a hardware sync issue that is particular to this laptop (HP Dev One). I turned off location services, turned on airplane mode and then restarted. This somehow fixed it, now I’m getting better speeds than on the Macbook lol.
