[solved] Locked out; getting "no key available with this passphrase" at stage 1

Hi, my laptop recently shutdown due to critically low battery. It’s now fully charged (been in charger for >12 hrs) and I’m having trouble unlocking my ssd. I’ve tried older (20 versions older) builds with the boot menu, but to no avail. I keep getting no key available with this passphrase like so:

[ 0.171326] x86/cpu: VMX (outside TXT) disabled by BIOS

<<< NixOS Stage 1 >>>

loading module dm_mod...
running udev...
Starting version 250.4
Passphrase for /dev/disk/by-uuid/...long-uuid-was-here...:
Verifying passphrase for /dev/disk/by-uuid/...long-uuid-was-here...:
...No key available with this passphrase.
 - failure

I’m quite confident my passphrase is correct as I was quite careful to store it in bitwarden, and I happen to use it on another machine (on which I’ve since verified I’m able to type the same passphrase without some brain fart happening). Also, as I said, I tried older system states, thinking maybe something got messed up and I just never rebooted into those states to verify they really work. So I went to the oldest state I had (some 20 states back), but no luck. Any ideas how I might debug this?

solution: I was entering the wrong password :man_facepalming: (I was entering a password from bitwarden correctly, but not the correct entry’s password :stuck_out_tongue: )
