I only noticed today and after some network delays I experienced that the timestamp for the nixpkgs channels seem a bit unusual, for comparison here that workflow run that updated my flake references: [Update flake.lock by github-actions[bot] · Pull Request #60 · 573/nix-config-1 · GitHub](https://github.com/573/nix-config-1/pull/60)

Or is that a regular thing ?

I think this is it:

from [Serving Tarball Flakes - Nix Reference Manual](https://nix.dev/manual/nix/2.25/protocols/tarball-fetcher)

> For tarball flakes, the value of the lastModified flake attribute is defined as the timestamp of the newest file inside the tarball.
