Whatever you might think about FLOSS or about the merits of the GPL specifically, I thought this was an interesting read from a sw eng/build tooling perspective - the number of hoops jumped through and yaks shaven just to get a clean build of something that is allegedly “complete source code”
If they’d based it on Nix there’d be none of these problems, right?
