I would love to be able to open discover or gnome-software and install/update/remove all my packages from there. I’m currently using kubuntu and discover handles apt, flatpak and snap packages. I tried installing packagekit from nixpkgs but running pkcon backend-details only showed the apt backend.
Is the packagekit nix backend only for nixos? If yes, can it be adapted to work on other distributions too? If no, how can I install it on my machine?
