ZFS 2.2.7 merged on GitHub but still not available

Hi,

I’ve been waiting for zfs 2.2.7 and it’s been merged finally in the nixpkgs repository on GitHub, yet it still doesn’t show up when I do nix flake update

I’ve checked on search.nixos.org and it also doesn’t show up there yet.

Is this a caching issue?

It takes a couple days for merges to master to make it to nixos-unstable, as Hydra builds everything from all the recent PRs. See: Channel branches - NixOS Wiki

You can use this PR tracker to check when it makes it to nixos-unstable: Nixpkgs PR #364400 ("zfs_2_2: 2.2.6 -> 2.2.7") progress

Don’t use this as a sign that you should switch to nixos-unstable-small. That channel is not meant for the vast majority of end users and will be missing many binaries with high frequency.
