I wanted to share both the video walkthrough and the repo of a NixOS on WSL starter template which I recently carved out from my larger NixOS configuration repository.
Besides being an easy place to start for people wanting to dip their toes into NixOS, this starter template integrates win32yank for the user, so that bidirectional copy-paste in applications like NeoVim “just works”, and an optional service which allows you to use remote VSCode in WSL VMs without any headaches.
