Announcement of the Community Team Bootstrap Group

Dear everyone,

We are happy to announce the composition of the Community Team Bootstrap Group.

Since our last update, we have worked behind the scenes contacting alumni moderators in order to assemble a strong roster for the team, aiming to ensure good representation of our community. We thank the members who have accepted to take on this responsibility:

They will be taking over the day to day duties of the current moderation team, and working with the SC to establish a new code of conduct and a general direction for the NixOS community spaces, following the previous announcement.

We’ve also voted to extend the bootstrap period to the end of August 2026, due to the delays in confirming the final composition of the team.

Finally, we’d like to thank @Lassulus for the incredible amount of work he has done during this transition.

Thanks for the heroic effort (running moderation alone for +6 months!) until the community team was ready to take over. Not sure what we’d have done without you!
