Hey Everyone! + Happy Almost 22nd Birthday to Nix 
The NixOS Foundation board rotation selection has concluded, and we’re excited to introduce the new board members! This is the first rotation held in accordance with the newly established constitution, working closely with the Steering Committee (SC) to make the selection.
Meet the New Board
The NixOS Foundation board for this rotation is:
- Secretary: Silvan Mosberger (@infinisil)
- Director of Legal Affairs: Ryan Trinkle (@ryantrinkle)
- Treasurer: Maximilian Habryka (@lassulus)
- Director of Community Support: Sebastian Kraus (@ra33it0)
- President/Chair: Ron Efroni Rotman (@ron, continuing role)
Recap of the Process
- We kicked off the rotation with a call for nominations.
- The Foundation board collaborated closely with the SC, going beyond what’s strictly required by the constitution, to ensure we approached this selection thoughtfully.
- After multiple discussions, I put together a proposal for the final structure, incorporating feedback from the SC, which then got approved by the SC.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, nominated themselves or others. It’s fantastic to see so many community members willing to step up. This is the first time we are doing such a formal board rotation, opening up an opportunity for community members to step up and take part. I hope to also see continued enthusiasm for nominations next time around.

All new board members happen to be at Planet Nix this week, where we will meet to get organised. If you’re also there, feel free to chat with us.

We’ll be working through the formal board member transition process with the KVK in Utrecht for legal handover.

For the next weeks/months our main goal is to fully transition and onboard the new members to establish working operations.
