Hi all, I’m setting up NixOS using ZFS, encrypted with either ZFS encryption or LUKS, haven’t decided which yet. I’d like to be able to share files on my home network using Samba. Is anyone running a setup like this? Just wondering if there’s anything special you need to do in the config for Samba sharing from an encrypted disk.
I don’t think you need any special samba config here.
Applications only see a filesystem, they don’t know if it’s backed by ext3, ext4 or zfs and if it’s encrypted.
