Specifically talking about grabbing packages. The package downloading phase usually takes upwards of a minute with only ~20 packages installed. Is there a method similar to apt-fast where the system can download multiple packages simultaneously?
What version of nix do you have? nix should be able to download multiple packages in parallel (nix.conf - Nix Reference Manual - should already default to 16).
It’s not super obvious that downloading in parallel necessarily would make things faster, though…
Using 24.05.
Sorry, I guess my connection is slow and it wasn’t clear that multiple packages were being downloaded in parallel.
