So im installing nixos on a hp laptop that has windows 10 already installed (im trying to dual boot) and on the GUI calamares installer when i start typing the “full name” prompt the installer instantly closes, i also tried installing debian a while back (with the same installer) and it worked just fine, what can i do to fix this?
I also have the same issue on my laptop. I am starting to think that 24.05 just does not work.
The calamares installer isn’t in a great state, but nixos-install should still work as ever.

I faced the same issue. You need to have internet connection when the installer boots up for the first time. If you connected internet after booting the installer, keep the internet connected and reboot the GUI installer. This will load the necessary modules needed for installation process.
