Davinci Resolve on Linux really does need some BlackMagic dev attention
I noticed that Kdenlive is using FFMpeg for AAC and I did test it and works as you would expect. I just love my Davinci Resolve Studio too much.
Anyway, I did also dig a little and discovered this Github - GitHub - Toxblh/davinci-linux-aac-codec: AAC Encoder Plugin for DaVinci Resolve Studio
It gets part way there in being able to at least render out AAC
I’m in no way a developer and stumble with nix syntax so class me as still a nix newbie.
But I did try to create a derivation for this GitHub using Gemini AI. After 4 hours and many tries and rebuilding, Gemini couldn’t get a working derivation.
If any DR Studio users want to have a crack at getting a working derivation working, I am sure they’ll be a great many happy DR Studio users
