This is the first-ever Nix-themed event held in mainland China. Our goal is to bring together NixOS enthusiasts, developers, and practitioners from across the country to share experiences, best practices, and real-world use cases of NixOS in various scenarios.
The meetup will be held on August 9–10 (next Saturday and Sunday) at ShanghaiTech University’s Pudong Campus, in the School of Information Science and Technology Building, Room 1A-200 (No. 393 Huaxia Middle Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai). The event is organized by the GeekPie Association at ShanghaiTech, with @Prince213 serving as the primary contact person.
The event is expected to have around 30 participants.
There will be no registration fee for attending. However, meal expenses may need to be shared among attendees. we’ll provide updates after confirming event funding with the Foundation.
At present, the number of participants is close to the 50 people limit, so the online registration has been closed. If anyone still wants to participate, please join the group and ask @prince213 directly, which will be considered as appropriate based on the actual number of participants. Thank you all for your enthusiastic support!
How was it? If any of the participants wants to share anything about the event or your experience there, I’d be eager to read it & learn a bit about the community in China!
Chinese language links would be welcome as well as I’d be happy to read machine translated output before succumbing to the language barrier on my side, as a nix user in central Europe.
