Flox is Growing - 5 New Roles

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a quick update from the Flox side. We are hitting a really wild inflection point right now, and the wider industry is continuing to recognize the magic of Nix, something this community has known for years.
Just at the beginning of the year we brought on a bunch of amazing folks across both product and engineering. We’ve been working tightly with the amazing folks on Nix partnerships - NVIDIA and the CUDA teams (and some more note yet announced efforts to make Nix better in some of the largest companies in the world), and we are now actively working (and spreading the Nix) inside Fortune 5s, tier-1 banks, and frontier AI labs.
The best part of all this is that, at the end of the day, every Flox install is a native Nix install. As we scale, the global Nix footprint grows with us. We want anyone who starts with Flox to feel completely empowered to explore native Nix, which is exactly (for example) why we are working on first class integrations that promote the use of bare nix.
It’s an incredible problem to have, but it means we need more hands to build. We opened five new roles this week, and there are three in particular where I would love to bring in some deep Nix community DNA: Full list → Flox | Careers

  • Senior Software Engineer: Working on the core engine. You’ll be deep in Nix, CUDA, reproducible environments, and agentic workflows. Bonus points if you can keep Yannik and Rok on their toes.

  • Solutions Engineer: We are dropping Flox into some of the most complex, demanding engineering environments on the planet. You’d be working shoulder-to-shoulder with our team to help massive enterprises actually understand, adopt, and scale the very core Nix principles we all work on.

  • Technical Product Marketing Lead: We need someone who can explain the magic of Flox (and Nix!) to the wider industry. (simply put)

We are pushing hard to make this ecosystem the industry standard. If you want to help us build the bridge, or just want to chat about the things we’re seeing out in the enterprise space, I’d love to hear from you. Links to the roles are below.

For those that are less familiar, we are a remote first company. And we get the folx together a few times a year (including NixCons) for offsites in great spots. Here’s last month surfing in Portugal!
Hands down best Nix / Flox surfer I’ve seen so far - @garbas

Cheers,
Ron
