Fprintd-enroll not working

I have the following in configuration.nix:

services.fprintd.enable = true;

but after trying to enroll a fingerprint with

$ sudo fprint-enroll

I get this:

$ fprintd-list username
found 1 devices
Device at /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0
Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0
User username has no fingers enrolled for Goodix MOC Fingerprint Sensor.

How can I get this working?

Like this you’re enrolling a fingerprint for root. Do sudo fprint-enroll username.
