Framework fingerprint reader support

I’ve gotta say that I had to do a little hack to get the fingerprint to be recognized.

  • Install Windows in a VM
  • Get the drivers from framework
  • unpack the drivers manually ( the installer doesn’t work on VM )
  • Enable pass through for the Goodix device
  • Install the provided driver

Only this way allowed fprint to be able to talk to the fingerprint device.

Not Ryan, but maybe I can help anyways :slight_smile:
I’m daily driving a 12-gen Intel FW13 and was able to enroll my fingerprints as expected (e.g. through KDE’s settings app), after enabling fprintd.

What Mainboard and NixOS versions are you on? Do you use the nixos-hardware module?
