Functional Programming Auckland - 2024-11-12 (Auckland, New Zealand)

Our next meetup has a talk about Nix deployment on a HPC context, here in Auckland!

Deploying Nix, the declarative package manager, on a multi-node HPC environment opens up new possibilities for efficient and reproducible software management at scale. This talk will provide a step-by-step guide to setting up a fully functional system using a single head node and multiple client nodes. Whether you’re new to Nix or an experienced user, you’ll leave with actionable steps to recreate this deployment on your own network, and i will all come together in a live demo to showcase the system in action.

It’s a free event, everybody is welcome! Our meetup is on functional programming in general but Nix ended up being one of the most common topic of presentations :).

Great but too far down under , any change that this talk will be recorded?

Unfortunately not - both speakers preferred if we don’t record and it’s also a bit of a hassle setting up all the equipment and such.

Though I can always share here if the speaker shares any public resources during the talk :). I’ll do that.

Thanks, too bad for the recording no go.
Seems to me a exiting topic with important info!
If they could share other ways that would be great.
Succes with the Meetup.
