Gnome 49 in 25.05?

Hi all,

With the GNOME 49 RC scheduled for release this Saturday and the final release on September 17, will there also be a 25.05 update of Gnome 49, given that Warbler will reach end-of-life by the end of the year?

FYI, Gnome 49 is being prepared in PR GNOME: 48 → 49 by jtojnar · Pull Request #440720 · NixOS/nixpkgs · GitHub

Not sure if the original questions still needs answering, but no, Gnome 49 won’t be backported to 25.05.

Major releases like that go through unstable and then (usually) into the next stable release.
