Hello all, i’m trying to switch from opensuse TW to nixos but the installer with GUI is not starting, the first lines of the screen logs show a issue and the installer does not start at all.
i use the plasma6 iso image 24.5 for x86_64.
i have many hard drives and ssd (sata and nvme) with amd 5800x and amd rx 6800XT.
Those modprobe errors are red herrings and not relevant. It’s actually hanging well after that point, after starting udev. This is something I’ve seen popping up from time to time, and I believe the reason the screen just stops showing anything useful is because of the graphical “plymouth” boot splash that starts right after this point. Can you try the minimal installer instead of the graphical one, since it doesn’t have plymouth?
in fact, i change of iso image from version plasma6 to version gnome and during installation, i choosed the desktop environment wanted!
this image iso is working, the plasma6 one’s no !
